“Waiting On” Wednesday #02: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My WoW book for this week I can’t-wait-to-eat read is:

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Book #2 of { Lunar Chronicles } series

Release Date: February 5th 2013

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison–even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she is loath to trustΒ this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. AsΒ Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

Unexpectedly, Cinder was a really great re-telling of the ever favorite story of Cinderella. Now, with the story of Red Riding Hood coming in, I’m really looking forward to how that will be written and still we get the story of Cinder at the same time. I have confidence that this will be another great story coming from Marissa Meyer & I can’t wait to read it.

Hey, off topic, I browsed your blog and noticed that we are definitely on different teams. LOL! I am Team Cal on Hex hall series, Team Will on Firelight, Team Zeke on Immortal rules and Team Jem on Clockwork. I really laughed when I found about it. πŸ™‚
