“Darkness hides in all of our hearts, Derric Harver, but each of us has the strength to fight it. We need only choose to do so.”
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and enjoyable. also very well-rounded especially the main character Derrick Harver. A Stolen Kiss borrows from the world of Disney princess and kiss curses. Maria and Derric are bound by a curse that she must break if she wants to marry a prince. They, along with Derric’s sister Sarah and Maria’s future-fiancé Humphrey, tale on this journey to find the sorcerer who bound them to break it. On this journey the group reveal dark secrets and haunted pasts. Friendships forms and alliances made.
This book is a complete surprise until the last page of it. I really enjoyed it. My only complain was the writing. It could have been more emotional. It felt distant from the characters. I hope I am conveying my idea clearly. This story used to be on Wattpad and I’m glad the writer decided to publish it. I hope this series succeeds; it has something special.
I liked this quote as well:
“if you hadn’t stolen that kiss, Derric Harver…there would not be one happy ending to our miserable tale.”
Maria and Derric in the last scene were just too damn cute ❤
